Why some clients route through Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union together with Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia. Goods cleared in Kyrgyzstan enter free circulation across the whole union. From there they move to Russia as a domestic supply — no customs border, ordinary invoices and delivery notes.
This is not a workaround. Import happens once, in Kyrgyzstan, officially and with all payments made. What follows is internal trade inside a customs union.
The practical effect: you receive Chinese goods with a document set your Russian buyer accepts, without handling currency payments to China, import clearance or two separate carriers.
Where such shipments break
Not on the road — in the documents. Three links in a row must match: the Chinese invoice, the customs declaration in Kyrgyzstan and the shipping documents into Russia. A mismatch in names, quantities or units surfaces at the final buyer, when nothing can be changed any more.
